Raspberry Pi development
Microtron offers a service to develop the use of the small single-board computer called a Raspberry Pi. At present options exist for development with Arduinos to control hardware and Android Apps (or possibly iPhone Apps) to control a function of the Raspberry Pi. This latter could be three relays (directly controlled by the RPi) for example (if installation of your appliances/machines wiring can be carried out successfully by an electrician), or WiFi control of devices on your Local Network if technical data describing how to connect and apply control is available.
The RPI can be run with or without a screen, keyboard or mouse depending on the application, and options with a screen can in include graphical displays.
As an RPI can be Internet connected it may also be possible to control some WiFi/Ethernet connected devices on your LAN, if appropriate technical communication information is available.
As RPIs are solid state and low power they are very suited to running all the time with a high level of reliability. Another use for an RPI is for VPN access to your home/business network. This means that you can operate a local browser, local mail or other local software from a remote computer (as if it was directly connected to the LAN) with a high level of security on your LAN .
