Simple break out board with direct connections to pins and with Ethernet

This break out board has been designed based on the pin-out for the ethernet Pico hat below. It runs on 5V as VBUS is required. The board has the following features:

  • Ethernet connectivity.
  • User interface: screen and rotary encoder.
  • Real-time clock without millisecond interrupt connection. This can be connected to a terminal with a jumper and some solder (probably solder to the top of the INT pin on the timer breakout).
  • Optional SD card reader via SPI. Shares with Ethernet.
  • Fram.
  • 12 GPIO connected terminals. Vertical access terminals can be used as spacing is standard.
  • Rx/Tx connection.
  • I2C connection.
  • 5V power needed to either the USB socket or to VBUS via the PCB mounted power connector socket.

This board has not had a sketch written yet and has not been run. The PCB was designed based on the shown pin-out. The PCB has been designed to allow the SD reader and Ethernet to share the SPI pins apart from Chip Select.

  • MCU units with sensors and datalogging.
  • Break out boards with user interface. Suitable for datalogging and interactive function including stepper motors.
  • Break out board customizations. Sensors, stepper motors, WiFi, SD cards and Fram.
  • Design of circuit boards, including design of circuit boards that are a customization of a break out board pilot project.
  • WiFi and server collection of data.

Cost for unpopulated board
